Career Exploration Facility Based Service
The group of buildings at 713 Dover Road in Easton is the base of operations for Chesapeake Center. The largest building houses a thriving manufacturing business. Chesapeake Center is the nation’s sole supplier to the U.S. Navy of nuclear grade cotton wiping cloths through a program, AbilityOne. Commercial sewers, quality control employees and packers complete this job before the on-site government inspection.
The Center also manufactures wooden crab mallets that can be customized for special occasions. These are purchased by local distributors and sold across the United States.
Meaningful Day Services
Located at 713 Dover Road in Easton, individuals can choose from various community outings, volunteer opportunities, daily life skills, exercise and much more depending on what their interest is. Schedules with various activities are prepared each week.
Day Habilitation Services
Located at 713 Dover Road in Easton, individuals may choose this service if they wish to be a more relaxed atmoshphere. They may want to do leisurely activities instead of outings or have medical conditions that might not allow more physical activities. A schedule is prepared and offered each week. Individuals choose what they would like to fulfill their day.
Employment Services

Residential Services
Located in Talbot County, Maryland, Chesapeake Center owns group homes where Direct Support Professionalthe staff support residents as they learn how to do laundry, cook, clean, plan their free time, explore hobbies, exercise and visit friends and family. These Residential group homes are single family dwellings with multiple bedrooms. The Office of Health Care Quality licenses the residential program annually.
Supportive Living
Supportive Living is available to individuals who can live alone with minimal support. Designed to promote independence while utilizing Direct Support Professionals guidance in their home daily.
Respite Care
Respite Care is available to relieve the day to day responsibility of the primary caregiver. Respite bedrooms in supervised group homes are available for overnight visits by participants with developmental disabilities. The respite stay can rejuvenate the caregiver while providing a rewarding experience for the overnight guest. Respite funding or private pay is accepted.
